About warmth and inner fire. With this shawl I tried to encapsulate the emotion created by people who feel like sunshine. The way you feel immediately better when you’re with them, the way everything feels warmer. These people have an inner fire that keeps them warm, and if you are lucky enough, they will pass some of this warmth to you. The shapes are taken from a detail in an old marine book and I reworked them to evoke the rays of sunshine. The warm colours fading into the dark symbolise the colours of a fireplace once the flames are gone, and only the coal is gently burning. In silence, peacefully. I hope this shawl will bring you strength.
